[RP] The Treaty of Haven
Okay, so I had this idea for a story, but kind of abandoned it. I thought it might be kind of cool to post it here and see what stories formulate from the denizens of Rule34! It's essentially about a futuristic state where two alien races have come to Earth. One is determined to harvest Earth's resources while the other had their planet harvested and now seek to aid mankind in protecting their planet.
My idea was that if anyone wanted to participate, they could create their own character from the three races, Human, Syllan, and Bork'goot and insert themselves into the world and tell a story in this world from their perspective! I really have no restrictions on the content of one's story; you can do whatever you want in this world although I'd ask that if two people want to RP with their characters (Sex or anything really) they should keep it in a private message. However, if you want to have sex within your story and you tell it from your own perspective (like in a chapter) then I have no qualm! You could even have another person's character in that chapter, but only if the other person says that you can!
Another rule would be that you can't introduce any radical changes to the world (like the death of a major leader, or the destruction of an entire race or city.) I will have my own story within this RP and occasionally I'll announce that some major change will be occurring, and if someone wants their character involved, they can write a chapter about this event. I will also announce that a major character is required to die and if someone wants to take up a chapter on killing this particular character, they can!
So I wanted there to be pretty much free reign on the story, aside from these two rules. I just feel like a sexual RP in the center will clutter it up and be distracting for those that actually want to craft a story. However, all the races can intermingle sexual, but Syllan cannot reproduce with other species, whereas human's and Bork'goots can create hybrids through mating.
I don't know how long this will last or if anyone will even want to join, but worst case scenario is you can all read my own character's story!

Races and Weaponry
The race of Humanity is pretty self explanatory. They can use the tech from the other races and are able to adapt to the genetic mutations that the Bork'goot can supply.

The Bork'goot are fairly human like, but they are traditionally much taller and stronger than humans. Their skin color also varies from a grayish green to a dark green, but ones with skin like a human isn't uncommon. They have a vestigial tail that isn't usually long, but can be. They grow hair all over their bodies, usually darker tones and much thicker than humans, but much like humans, they tend to shave a lot of it off. The males will sometimes keep their hair, but most females will keep themselves trim. They try to be a peaceful race, but find themselves unable to forgive the Syllan for what they did to their people.

Syllan are somewhat shape shifters, able to camouflage their flesh according to their surroundings or manipulate facial features to somewhat resemble others. They are a thin, nimble race most commonly compared to demons in terms of their evil and sly behavior. Small horns grow from a Syllan's head and are considered dangerous weapons. Syllan's can grow hair almost on whim to cover up these horns. With their speed and thick, clawed fingertips, a Syllan is considered most dangerous at close ranges. They are able to burrow quite quickly and are consider masters at escaping. They are traditionally eager to support their mother nation, but some have begun to rebel against their nation's conquests and appear in the aid of the allies. In their races prime, they observed foreign planets with probes to gather information on possible future homes. Earth was one of these locations.

Weaponry is custom to the particular races. Mankind traditionally uses gun powder, but the more advanced nations have their own weaponry. Bork'goot have moved from firearms to genetic manipulation in some instances, using abilities much like fantasy magic in warfare. Bork'goot genetic alterations can make it so a Bork'goot can shoot fire from their finger tips or other naturally occurring elements such as Earth or water. Implants also increase Bork'goot's physical prowess, allowing them to traverse battlefields with anti-gravity. Mechanical body parts also enhance the Bork'goot, making them a terrible presence in battle. The Syllan have laser technology and weapons of mass destruction. Anything that will kill wide swaths of people is popular to the Syllan.

History
The year will be 2089 on Earth. Twenty years earlier, the People's Republic of Earth (PRE) made first contact with alien life, when an abandoned alien spacecraft was discovered in the Oort Cloud. This spacecraft was brought back to Earth and studied. No life was found aboard, but information was mined from the ships systems and revealed that this ship had been gathering information of Earth nearly three thousand years earlier. By the end of 2069, a message reached Earth of alien origins. Despite The PRE's best efforts, they could not decipher what this radio message said.

By the time Earth's top scientist could decipher this foreign message, a massive spacecraft appeared in orbit around Earth. As people panicked and nations prepared for the worst, this alien craft lowered to the Earth's surface, hovering between New York City and Boston. It was closest to the town of New Haven. The ship remained hovering and silent before a military headed group infiltrated this ship and discovered that most of the inhabitants were dead, and those that weren't were locked in cryo stasis. These people were called the Syllan.

The ship remained hovering under mysterious circumstances and the PRE brought all surviving cryo chambers to Earth's surface to seek out a way to awaken those Syllan still considered alive. It was around this time that the foreign message was deciphered. It still remained cryptic, but it was revealed that it warned of a ship much like the one that hovered over New Haven. A massive solo ship that sought to strip resources from any planet that sustained life. Unfortunately this warning came too late, and those Syllan that had been entrapped in stasis were released and promptly escaped the military facility they were held in.

As the search began for these escaped beings, the ship over New Haven was quarantined and boarded by the PRE to investigate the ships technology. As they lingered within its walls, the gruesome truth of the alien message was confirmed--the Syllan were a race of ancient beings that have moved from planet to planet in search of new resources to harvest including the planets organic life. With this knowledge, the PRE set a bomb near the center of the aircraft and detonated it. It plummeted to the Earth, becoming a crumpled heap in the center of evacuated New Haven. With their ship demolished, the hunt for the living Syllan started.

While people understood that the Syllan had little opportunity to conduct their harvest, fear was still ever present and the hunt for Syllan was embraced. Yet the harder PRE looked, it seemed the farther they went from finding them. Over the next five years, only one Syllan was recovered and it had already been killed by an unknown source. Despite their lack of success in finding the Syllan, no ill results seemed to come from their disappearance. As the years rolled on, the thoughts of the Syllan and their threat seemed to be forgotten.

In the year 2085, transmissions were heard throughout the solar system. They came in a foreign voice and wasn't recognized as Syllan. In the coming weeks, several large ships began to appear in orbit around Earth. They were not the same as the Syllan vessel. These were the ships of the Bork'goot, an alien race that broadcasted a signal of peace towards the human race.

The leaders of the Bork'goot were allowed to land on Earth where they met with the twelve ministers of PRE. In this meeting, it was revealed that the Bork'goot had been assaulted by the Syllan and their home world was conquered, but they escaped before the Syllan could harvest their people. Bork'goots are now space faring people in search of a new, peaceful home. The Twelve Ministers of PRE revealed that the Syllan had come to Earth, but had been lost for nearly a decade, but the Bork'goot were fearful, claiming that the Syllan would have gone deep below the surface to breed and gather an army. With this revelation, Humans and Bork'goot kind signed the Treaty of Haven, which solidified their races bonds in the face of Syllan threat. The Bork'goot were allowed a place on Earth, although this didn't occur without some prejudice from native humans.

With the Bork'goot came a flurry of new technology. Small, handheld anti-gravity devices were introduced to mankind along with several medicines that allowed for longevity. This same anti-gravity was applied to vehicles which made travel in most metropolises air born, but hasn't caught on completely in the year 2089. Radical genetic inventions were introduced to mankind including the ability to imbue the body with the power to create fire through one's hands, but these genetic alterations are restricted to the Bork'goot/PRE military alliances. Similar genetic solutions were introduced, but the general population isn't allowed to their effects, allow black markets around the planet have recently been seeing these serums appear.

The Syllan returned to the surface of Earth in 2088 in grand fashion. They rose up in Philadelphia, effectively burying the city when they arose. Instantly war was waged; Human and Bork'goot forces descended on the decimated city of Philadelphia, but quickly learned that the Syllan were not as weak as expected. Their brutal war technology had preserved in the minds of their people and was recreated below Earth's surface. The initial assault on the ruins of Philadelphia ended in many allied deaths and they were forced to retreat. From then on, the Syllan burrowed beneath the Earth's surface and assault cities much as they had with Philadelphia, but the allied forces remained strong and battled the Syllan forces all the way up into the year 2089 where the story begins.

CHARACTER: EVELYN VOLT
So this will be my character within the world. I will present a character sheet as I would expect to see it, but don't feel like you need to flesh out your character this much if you don't want to. This would just be a prime example if you were looking to join in!

Name: Evelyn (Eve) Volt
Age: 18.
Height: 5'6
Weight: 120 pounds
Home: Streets of New York City
Occupation: Pickpocket
Personality Traits: Evelyn is prideful and somewhat cocky with her abilities. She is witty and intelligent, able to out think many other people in her line of business. She can be somewhat flirty, but has never entertained the thought of having a close connection with anyone. Enjoys aesthetically pleasing structures.
Physical Description: Lightly freckled white skin with short, unruly blonde hair and blue eyes. Wears a gray tank top with a leather jacket and black skinny jeans. Skinny, but somewhat muscular. Carries a satchel over her shoulder and has an antigravity generator on her left palm.
Story: Evelyn Volt is an orphan in New York City. Her parents were both killed when she was five and Evelyn has lived on her own since then. Always filled with pride, Hannah sought a life with good standings, but could never make it off the streets of New York. Though she never found good standings, Evelyn still has pride for herself and didn't entertain the thought of selling her body when she was young. Evelyn became a pickpocket after obtaining a Bork'goot antigravity device that was left on a subway. From here on out, Evelyn became a stunning thief within the city, working for particular fences and selling goods. She sold enough to rent a small apartment in the dingy Bronx. Evelyn continued her life of petty crime until the threat of the Syllan surfaced. As this threat moved from Philadelphia, Evelyn swore that she would fight against the Syllan, should the need arise, within New York City.

((I forgot to mention that it may be prudent to clarify a race if you chose to be something other than a human. This should also include gender if you are going to RP as someone that isn't your own gender.))

CHARACTER: Jonathan Wyncraft
Name: Jonathan Wyncraft
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Height:6'1"
Weight: 280 lbs.
Home: New York City
Occupation: Private Investigator (formerly NYPD)
Personality Traits: Known for his cynicism and sarcasm, Jonathan can also be very honest (sometimes brutally so) and has a strong sense of justice at times, even though he doesn't always believe it himself. He also believes in 'Might makes Right', meaning that he can at times be a little extreme in the pursuit of justice/the law. For him, vengeance always was justice, and things weren't always black and white. Jonathan is also fairly specist and is skeptical of everyone, but especially extraterrestrials. He is also something of a genius, with his expertise lying in psychology and investigation.
Physical Description: His blonde hair is kept short, almost to the point of being a buzzcut. He has a vertical scar over his right eye, ending just above his lip. Jonathan is normally clean shaven, but sometimes his stubble grows into a five o'clock shadow almost too quickly. He is in good physical shape, being cut but not too ripped and his legs are a little longer then his torso, his arms also being a little longer then normal (almost lanky, except for his muscularity). Being a former cop, Jonathan is also a fairly gifted hand-to-hand combatant, refusing to carry a gun nowadays.
Jonathan wears a black trenchcoat over a white dress shrit, complete with a black tie. His pants and shoes are black and he also wears a black baseball cap, along with sunglasses. Continue reading so I can explain why he weighs so much...
Story: Jonathan Wyncraft was born to a middle class family in NYC almost 30 years ago. He grew up around the rumor of alien contact and life but spent most of his time ignoring/not believing in it. His life was not too horribly tragic, though he developed a strong sense of right and wrong as a child. He was raised decently enough and decided to become a NYC Police Officer, even utilizing his overly analytical mind to become a detective at a somewhat younger age. Due to his years on the force, and the fact that he started at a younger age than most, Jonathan became quickly more desensitized to the ugly truths of the world, his cynicism and extremism growing. He was kicked off the force after being too violent with more then one suspect and became a private investigator afterwards, with the NYPD still calling upon him on occasion for help. During this time, Jonathan was given Bork'goot bio-technological genetic enhancements to augment his human strength, durability, stamina, and speed which also make him age more slowly. Jonathan smokes cigarettes to help him deal with the lingering pains he sometimes has, as his body has never fully acclimated to his implants (mechanical in nature, hence his added weight).
His mysterious benefactor remains unnamed, and Jonathan still owes him quite a bit of money for his 'surgeries'.

(I hope I got everything right and didn't mess up the continuity too much!)
